About Us

Pack 82 has been around since the 1960s and has had wonderful leadership through the years. As Cub Scouts in Lancaster, SC we are the most looked upon scouting group. Our program consists of boys and girls from the ages of 5-10 years of age. We are whats considered a family pack. A family pack has both boy and girl dens, and families can sign up both sons and daughters for Cub Scouts. Family packs can form dens together for kindergarten through fourth grade, but fifth-grade Cub Scouts must remain in gender-specific dens. We find that being a family pack, we can work with more families in the community, besides going from place to place with their child.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Vision Statement

The Boy Scouts of America will prepare every eligible youth in America to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the Scout Oath and Law.

The Foundation of Scouting

Scout Oath: On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.

Scout Law: A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

Scout Mission: The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
